This course has been a BRILLIANT experience! I’ve learned about talk structure, built a bank of stories that I can use to articulate complex ideas and my confidence to present has improved significantly. Alex’s coaching was outstanding; he delivered his sessions with real credibility and the feedback I’ve had since delivering my latest presentation has made the whole process very rewarding.

It's time to turn communication into your competitive advantage...

We're going to solve the 3 biggest problems that prevent you from having an impact and generate buy in when you present: Death by Detail, Audience Apathy and Self-Doubt.

First, let's turn your message from death by detail into clarity.

It's so easy to get bogged down in the detail, particularly when presenting complex, technical information. What you need is a system for sharing your message in a way that is easy to digest.

1. Persuasive presentations follow the same structure. When you know it, it will 1. Save you a load of time by taking the effort out of the creation process, and 2. Force you to stay on topic so that your message packs a punch.

2. Then we'll work on your storytelling. Whether it's to create a deeper connection with your audience or to bring complex, technical, information to life, stories build a bridge from the rational to the emotional part of our brain, the part where we make decisions.

The result? The ability to create presentations that are clear, persuasive and easy to listen to, regardless of the topic.

Next, we'll turn our attention to the connection between you and your audience.

Your job is to take your audience on a journey from apathy to action.

1. Emotional intelligence is a presenters secret weapon. If you can articulate the problems that your audience is experiencing better than they can, they will subconsciously associate you with the solution and that is key to unlocking the action that you want your presentations to inspire.

2. You could have the greatest presentation in the world, but it’s your ability to adapt to the environment you find yourself in that will define your impact. Performance intelligence is about owning the room whatever the stage, from team meeting to company all hands, in person or remote.

And underpinning everything is your confidence.

We're all guilty of spending far too much time in our heads trying to think ourselves out of feeling nervous when we're under pressure to perform.

1. Whether you suffer from self doubt, you're unable to manage your nerves or you have to work twice as hard as everyone else to get your message across because English is not your first language, learning to work with your fight or flight response, rather than against it will help you find your leadership voice.

2. Then we can work on your stage presence, so that when you talk, people stop what they are doing and listen, regardless of whether you’re delivering content you've prepared or speaking completely unscripted.

I’ve loved this programme. It’s been an amazing experience and I think it will benefit a lot of employees at Bloomberg. The effort and energy Alex gives to everyone in the cohort is impressive, as is the curriculum. I do a lot of presenting at work and while I’m someone that enjoys it, I still experienced nerves and anxiety before delivering presentations. Since taking the programme, I’ve become more confident; not only in myself but also crafting the messages I’m going to deliver. I’ve learned how to build trust with my audience, hold their attention and deliver a message with impact. I’ve got all the tools to be successful at presentations moving forward and I’ve already started to put them to use!

How does the programme work?

There are 3 parts to this programme: the training, the coaching and the community. When you enrol, you'll get lifetime access to the training and the community. As a coach, my job is to incentivise you to get as much out of the experience as possible, which is why when it comes to the coaching element of the programme, you've got me for 12 weeks.

During that time, we'll be working closely together so I'd like you to make sure you 2-3 hours a week to dedicate to this during this time. That will give you plenty of time to watch the training videos, submit your homework and attend the coaching calls.

"Alex has had a huge impact on my relationship with public speaking - it’s something that has filled me with fear since childhood and not letting my nerves get the better of me has always been a challenge. Having started at a new company at the end of last year, speaking at events has become a regular occurrence and Alex came highly recommended as the person that could help me prepare for the challenge. Alex has put me through a tailored programme that has transformed my confidence on stage. My delivery has improved significantly and I’m now equipped with core coping mechanisms to help me deal with my nerves in the lead up to events. Most importantly though, I’ve smashed every speaking engagement since!"
