Storytelling is central to human existence. We have been told stories since before we could understand them and our ability to tell them separates us form every other species on the planet. Our ability to tell stories effectively at work could be the difference between landing that promotion, building valuable client relationships and nailing an important presentation. The problem is, great stories can be as tricky to spot as they are to tell, so understanding what makes a great story is vital.
In this workshop, learn how to:
Great communication is about empathy; being finely tuned to both your audience and yourself. In the context of delivering a presentation it’s about getting people to listen, without judgement so that they are open to the message that you want to share. It requires both self and social-awareness, and most importantly of all the ability to adapt your message to the people that you’re speaking to.

We've been brought up with a rather skewed idea of what a leader should look and sound like; these often extrovert, alpha personalities that seem to have this natural ability to own the room the second they enter it. Yet some of the most influential and inspiring leaders wouldn't describe themselves as naturally gifted communicators. They’re part of a new breed, spearheading a quiet leadership movement that is the perfect antidote to a world full of noise.
In this workshop, we are going to uncover exactly what it takes to lead and inspire the people around you, without needing to full back on your job title.

Whether it’s a 1:1, team meeting or a company wide all-hands, your ability to connect with your audience online has become a critical skill. It was hard enough with everyone in person, but now you’ve got to compete with a minefield of distractions; unreliable WIFI, noisy children and the 101 other things that the team might be trying to do whilst being present on the call.

Building a story around data is like building a bridge from the rational to the emotional part of your brain. It’s arguably one of the hardest presentation skills to get right, but when you do, it can be an incredibly powerful and persuasive tool to affect change. The problem is, most data driven presentations result in overwhelm, confusion and exhaustion, until now!

I am a public speaking, presentation and thought-leadership coach that specialises helping leaders craft and deliver messages with impact.
Done right, I believe that public speaking is an incredible catalyst for change. As the Founder of TEDxClapham, some of the talks I worked on went on to change legislation, raise finance and lobby the United Nations. My coaching philosophy?
'What you say matters.'
When people have confidence in the message they want to share, it changes everything. From how they deliver it, to perhaps most importantly of all, who is delivering it.
